You’ll notice the archive disappeared and are re-appearing. This is due to a big “oops,” on my part. No worries. Nothing lost. New comics coming soon.

Long overdue…

I have a pile of clean white comic paper, a new spiffy scanner, a script written, new technology, and scheduled time. It has been over 5 years since I stopped making this comic. In the same amount of time I have seen the careers sore of friends of mine. I graduated school. We’ve had a black president. There was a lot of moving around the country and career changes. But here I am. Back at my art table. Making comics.

Let’s do this.

New comics start on 8/18/2015. I’ll be keeping a tri-weekly schedule to start, updating Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to work in tandum with other updates.

Are you ever going to finish this story, Amber?

Yes. Yes, I am. Right now we’re still in a transitional period between moving from California to Colorado and I don’t have my office set up yet. It will be finished by 2016. Oh yes, this I promise. The Livestream file (linked below) is no longer up, so you’ll have to wait for me to break down the recording like I did on the main portion of the site. More to come in time.

There are about one-hundred and fifty comics left before the end. I shall take a year to do them, doing about 3 a week with some breaks. It’ll just take that much time… to the time ahead. Writing, writing…

I inked the next 2 pages of No Stereotypes today and you can see one of them on Livestream below. I don’t have a paid account with the service, the the video is only available for a short period of time. After that- it is gone forever. So catch up and see what inking is all about.

Small archive tweek

ns-atapartThanks to long-time reader Steve Ford for pointing out that comic #180 and #181 weren’t working properly, so I think I have them fixed now. The page name was accidentally changed during one of Jeff’s revisions. There. Now it works.

Wait- you mean we’re almost caught up?

There’s about a week left of the OLD archives before I start updating with new material and finally finish this story after nearly 10 years of working on it.

Better late than never.

Archive repairs

Hello! So, I don’t often post as much as Jeff does, but to those who have visited recently, you’d have noticed that the archive pages hadn’t been working. After a long time working on it, I was unable to identify the fix because Ciaran had helped me customize a single header for all of the subdomains to share… This lack of an exclusive header threw the code for a loop and it broke due to the Archiving plugin I use, Comic Easel, requiring the same code. Philip M. Hofer (creator of Comic Easel) spotted the problem pretty quick and fixed it, though, so it was a Happy New Year surprise for me. Isn’t that cool? So, thanks, Frumph! May the creative force be with you!

Holy- no way!

Jeff has informed me that he is almost caught up with the archives for No Stereotypes. This is great and scary at the same time because, while I had a plan for the end, I don’t know if I can easily just pick up where I left off. I did promise him and others I would finish the story, though, so I will do that.

I have a new Wacom tablet as of Black Friday of this year, so this means I’ll be able to shade new comics, but I’m going to have to get used to drawing the characters again. It has been about 4 years since I’ve worked on this story, and during that time I would be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted to start it all over again, fix bad art, cramped pages, sloppy writing, and all of the mistakes along the way, but I think it’s more important to finish the story first. Someday, I might clean up the art and lay out a book with it, but that day is not this one. I have other irons in the fire. For now, finishing the comic to the conclusion I have written years ago as planned. it just took me nearly forever to get there.

From what it looks like, we still need to see Atom’s mother die and Kat’s eye get gouged out. Oops… Did I give out spoilers? Here’s some old promo images for NS from back in the day to distract you.
